nipple tattooing and scar tattooing
i’m a non-binary trans person who has had top surgery, and i offer gender affirming tattoo services - including nipple tattoos and tattooing over areas of scarring. i hope to provide an alternative to the more hetero-centric cosmetic tattoo studios where trans people might not feel safe or comfortable… and also give you a break from the bizarre language cis people tend to choose for their websites :)
i offer 3D-effect nipple tattooing, using shadows and highlights to create a realistic looking nipple on flat skin. i also offer restorative tattooing over and around existing nipple grafts that have healed with irregular shape or pigmentation. i’m experienced in tattooing over scarring and stretch marks, including top surgery scars - keep scrolling for some examples of scar cover and ornamentation.
i am based in Brighton, and i’m currently travelling and doing guest spots around the UK. i try to put consideration into the accessibility of the studios that i work from, including physical, sensory and social accessibility.
nipple tattooing process
for creation of new 3D nipples, or adjustments to nipple grafts, i usually recommend 2 sessions. we are working with subtle and realistic skin tones, so we want to err on the side of caution to build up colour gradually, and ensure the result doesn’t end up too dark or vibrant. it’s important to go gently over scar tissue and give it a chance to heal in between sessions, and to not overwork delicate skin.
if you don’t have nipple grafts and are creating new nipples, it’s recommended to wait until you are 6 months healed from surgery.
if we are making adjustments to existing nipple grafts or tattooing over scarring, it’s important to wait 12 months post surgery.
i don’t recommend numbing cream for nipple tattoos, as it can lighten or change the colour of the surrounding skin and make it harder to match colours. sensation can be altered around scar tissue and sometimes you might experience numbness anyway. you will be ok :’)
i do my best to keep my work as affordable as possible, especially when doing this type of tattooing. for a double set of brand new nipples expect total pricing around £350 for 2 sessions. pricing will depend on the desired outcome, and heavy discounts apply if you’re a freak and want something weird. no nipple on one side and 2 on the other? i got you.
