germ (flack) is a non-binary tattooer at crucible tattoo co in naarm/melbourne australia. their tattoo practice is devoted to helping clients access the healing and transformative power that is possible within tattooing. their work is a celebration of colour and joy, and is inspired by zines, the weirdness of nature, the internet, memes, folk art and folklore, and queer/underground/outsider culture.
germ is originally from worthing (near brighton) in the uk, living on wurundjeri land since 2007. after studying illustration in the uk and animation at rmit, they made work as a painter and zinemaker, moved towards a tattoo practice in 2014 and joined crucible tattoo in 2018.
